Welcome to Judi Collins Art

Sensuous and suffused with light, the paintings of Judi Simboli Collins are universal in their appeal. The luminous coloration seen in her small engaging canvases reflects visual memories from her stays in the Napa Valley, Italy, France and California's Sonoma wine country where her family had a vineyard.
A degree from Carnegie Mellon University, her years of study and painting in New York as well as the Simboli family of artists and architects* influenced her creative life. Inspired by the early 20th century Fauve painters, her work reflects their passion for vivid color and strong emphasis on simplicity of form and flattened perspective.
Looking past the art world's prevailing trends, her paintings capture familiar imagery in a fresh way with a joyful synthesis of color, pattern and imagination.
